Vanilla as a family legacy

Uganda, the Pearl of Africa, is an ideal location for Vanilla production.
The vanilla orchid favorite growing zone is 10 degrees on top of the equator. The moister condition along Lake Victoria provides the best surrounding for Vanilla growth.
Our Vanilla farm Established some 40 years ago by Mr David Kabesa a pioneer in Vanilla growth in Uganda. Today the farm and its facilities runs by Miss Linda Kabesa , David’s first born daughter.
Although the technology have been improved, the vanilla farming requires allot of experience as it is a labor incentive farming
The farm located along Lake Victoria, in one of the very few regions that are favoring vanilla farming in the globe
C B O and Social responsibility
Community based organization
The Vanilla crop is a labor intensive crop that requires large number of man power all year round as the pollinating process done manually, bean by bean.
We have established a C.B. O – A Community based organization that works in a full collaboration with our organization and supports the woman groups that work in our farm.
10% from Vanilla UG profits returned to the community as a social responsibility act in order to contribute for setting up schools and clinic at the rural.
Our labor benefited from a fair employment condition and paid well, as we believe that the human resource is the most important asset of all.
